Guilt ~ the Great Derailer…

We’ve all experienced  it, we’ve all wrestled with it, and we’ve all fallen victim to allowing it to entrap us. Guilt, the ultimate manipulator that befalls our minds and spirits and leads us to believe that there is no rising up from it.

Those are lies; Satan’s lies. He loves to play head games with us and if we aren’t sharp enough, wise enough in the word of God, we succumb to those lies. 

Yes, we sin, yes we fall into the choices and desires of the flesh (whatever they may be), and yes consequences stem from of this. However, we must NOT forget, God has given us the greatest GIFT, the sacrifice of His ONLY son for OUR transgressions. Jesus died for OUR SINS.  Our slates are wiped clean; IF WE TAKE JESUS INTO OUR HEARTS AND ACCEPT HIM,when we repent, and when we too OFFER forgiveness; the same forgiveness we are granted.

It isn’t easy to live righteously, by the laws of our Lord;  it’s much easier to live by the ways of our own flesh, by the ‘ignorant’ ways of man, but as the Lord tells us: 

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God ~1 Corinthians 2:5 

When you feel the power of guilt overtaking your spirit, put on the armor of God an fight back, through meditating on his word and prayer…

And he said onto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed  among men is abomination  in the sight of God. ~Luke 16:15
